Having a personal piece created for you can be a wonderful gift or keepsake. We can work together to uncover themes that may be of interest to you! What kind of paintings can you do?
In the past Claire has worked on commissions such as animal family portraits, spirit animals, pet portraits, paintings pertaining to any themes that can be represented with the depiction of flora and fauna.
Where do I start?
Please contact Claire in order to set up an initial discussion about themes or animals that you have in mind for your piece. Claire will follow up with all the important information from there.
How much do I control?
After the initial discussion, Claire will provide one sketch that you will review. Any requests for changes can be made at that time. Once approved, Claire will make the finished painting. If you would like more rounds of sketches that can be arranged for an additional cost.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. A 50% deposit is required to secure your painting. After confirming that you would like to commission a piece and you and Claire have decided on a theme, Claire will email you an invoice, 50% of which will be required before she begins work on the painting. If you chose not to purchase the painting once it is complete, the deposit remains nonrefundable.
How much does it cost?
Commission prices begin at $360CAD for a painting that is 8x10” and increases from there depending on the size. Please reach out if you have a size in mind for a full quote.
How long does it take?
Please allow four to six weeks for Claire to complete the painting. If you’re looking for a speedier timeline, that can be arranged in the email correspondance.
